About Me

I grew up with five sisters and we helped to take care of my father by rotating shifts and sharing responsibilities. We loved how happy and comfortable our father was when he needed help. When I arrived in the United States, I learned there was a career where you could take care of people in their own homes. I was happy I could take up a career I enjoyed doing. I love to take care of people, no matter their age, situation, or concerns. I like to make life comfortable for them. As a caregiver, I am a fun, loving person. I love to crack jokes, and I always have a smile on my face. I like to keep my clients active when the situation permits. I also like playing board games with my clients. My hobbies include reading and dancing.

Recommendations

Bonnie lived with my dad and his wife from Sunday morning thru Friday morning starting in 2014 and worked with our family for more than six years. She started as a caregiver for my father's wife, who had Alzheimer's and needed total care. Even on her worst days, when she saw Bonnie, she let her provide care with no problem. Bonnie is very competent, she is a quick learner, and she takes initiative. After his wife died in January 2020, Bonnie continued to care for dad until his death in November 2020. Dad was 98 years old and was in pretty good mental shape, but he was increasingly crippled from spinal stenosis and used a wheelchair towards the end of his life. I can't say enough good things about Bonnie. She is a good cook and she also cleaned and shopped. When dad needed new clothes, she ordered them. She had access to cash and credit cards and was trustworthy and honest. During hospitalizations, Bonnie stayed and advocated as well as any family member could. She was like a family member, spending summers in their summer house with them, and accompanying them to family weddings and Christmas celebrations. Bonnie respected dad's privacy, but monitored him carefully. She's very cheerful and made him laugh often. Bonnie is an "upper" kind of person. She's jolly and high spirited, but in a very nice and positive way. Dad liked her very, very much. Bonnie has an active mind and they discussed politics often. His last trip outside was when Bonnie took him to vote in the 2020 presidential election. Bonnie kept his plants alive and occasionally brought her cat to visit, knowing that dad loved animals. One thing I appreciated about Bonnie was her ingenuity. She fixed and adjusted the walker/wheelchair/scooter regularly in order to keep him as mobile as possible. Bonnie was faithful and beloved and we couldn't have asked for a better caregiver and companion.

Bonnie took care of my mother from 2002-2014 for 12 years. My mother was slowly deteriorating and we needed someone to care for her. At the end, she had more memory loss and dementia-like symptoms, but she was in relatively good health. Bonnie worked part time during the days and would stay over 3-4 nights during the week. My mother and my whole family loved Bonnie and still do. She is and always will be a part of our family. Bonnie is a terrific, highly capable caregiver. In the 12 years that she worked for us, my mother never once had a bed sore. I give Bonnie the highest recommendation possible -- you won't regret working with her.
