About Me

Back in Grenada, I used to care for my grandmother when she was sick. By taking care of my grandparents, I gained a lot of caregiving experience. I decided to continue this work when I got to the United States. The elderly make me happy. I enjoy being around them and learning from them. They tell me great things about life. I love to hear their stories and listen to them. I'm a happy person and I'm always smiling. I'm very loving and giving. I like to be around my family and friends and make them happy. I love to help people. I love to dance and sing. I also love to go walking, and I like to exercise and read.

Recommendations

Donna started as a caregiver for my mother in 2008, and she was a great companion for her and my father. After my mother passed, she took care of my father until 2012. She had a really nice relationship with my parents. She was with my father to make sure he was safe and had what he needed. She cooked for him, she was there to accompany him when he went places. He was happy. Donna has a very nice personality and is very caring. We trusted her, and she was very responsible. We were happy because we knew he was looked after and was comfortable.

My wife had advanced Parkinson's and Donna lived with us for about a year and half until my wife passed away in May 2015. Donna is a happy and upbeat person, even under difficult circumstances. She's easy to be around and is a wonderful caregiver. She did everything for my wife -- personal care, reminding her about medications, and cooking, and she did light housekeeping as well. I felt comfortable going away for a few days at a time and leaving Donna in charge. There were other people who came in and out of the house to help, and Donna interacted with them easily. She and my wife got along very well. The three of us had lots of laughs together and listened to all kinds of music together. I've given many references for Donna and am happy to do so.
