About Me

I came to the United States in 2006. I used to be the head of a medical device and technology department in my country, the Republic of Georgia. I started working as a caregiver when I came to United States because i couldn’t find a job that fit my experience with my medical background. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love to help the sick and people who need help. I love to make their lives better and make them happy, despite their condition. I am a very optimistic person and very caring. Clients describe me as very reliable, hard-working, kind-hearted, patient and very understanding. I have a lot of experience handling different kinds of clients. In my spare time, I love to be with my son. I enjoy repairing computers and cars. I love to read and listen to music, especially blues and classic rock. Also, sometimes people call me Leo, instead of Levan, if it's easier for them to say.

Recommendations

Levan, or Leo, as we would call him, cared for my friend and neighbor, Jim, for quite a few years. I lived in the same apartment complex as Jim for 40 or so years, and Jim was a dear friend of mine. He had early onstage dementia and at first he was put in a nursing home. However, I went to the nursing home and saw him sitting in a wheelchair watching "Days of Our Lives" and I decided to take him out of there. We hired a few different caregivers, and I really think that Leo was my favorite. Leo never missed a day with Jim. Every time I would drop in to see Jim, he was always very well dressed and fed, and the place was always spotless. Leo is intelligent, even tempered, and has a good sense of humor. Leo was there with Jim until his death. Honestly, Leo was the best caregiver I ever encountered.

Levan was my father's caregiver for about 3 months in 2011. It was a very difficult time in our family. I had just been diagnosed with cancer, my husband had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and my father was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Levan knew how important it was for us to keep this information from my father, in order to lift his spirits. My father lived with us in the downstairs, and Levan was his live-in aide. We had female aides before Levan, but after having Levan with my father, I wish we had him sooner. He was able to physically help my father with everything. He was very attentive to my father. Levan is very gifted in this line of work. He would cook and shop for him, and just help with everything. My father even had a dog at the time, and Levan cared for the dog. I still stay in touch with Levan, he is very special to us, and I recommend him highly.
