Gifty A.

My husband has spinal stenosis and became a paraplegic in 2013. Gifty worked with him from 2015-2017. She is very competent, likable, and pleasant. My husband adored her and they talked and joked together. Gifty knows how to use a Hoyer lift and did wound care, catheter care, and took care of my husband's personal-care needs like brushing his teeth, shaving, and bathing. I usually did the cooking, but she is able to cook food my husband liked and did so from time to time when I was away. We spend the summers at our summer home, and Gifty travelled with us. In 2017, my daughter-in-law took over as his caregiver. She does a great job, but we still miss Gifty. Gifty does fill-in work when my daughter-in-law is not available, and she calls to check in on us frequently. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a caregiver.

Gifty took care of my father from around 2013-2015. My father had a stroke and needed help taking care of himself, since he could no longer do it on his own. I hired Gifty and was very happy with her work as a caregiver. She took care of everything for my dad, including feeding him. I also appreciated that she had a car and could drive. She would take him out for leisure activities when he was feeling up for it. My father was happy with Gifty as his caregiver, and I never had to worry when she was there. She cares deeply about her patients and I recommend her highly.
