About Me

When my grandmother was very ill, I closely observed how my family took care of her and they also got me involved. I learned a lot from caring for my grandmother and I loved it. I became a caregiver in 1999. I am a pleasant person to be around, and love to have conversations with every client I have. I have a lot of patience. I also love a clean environment and make sure my clients are clean. I try to hold my composure and not get upset. I hold my clients close to my heart and treat them like family. I am very honest. I cook for my clients and get them involved when they want to help. I am a very open person, and I speak out in a respectful and pleasant way. I am trustworthy, and I always ensure my client's privacy comes first. I do my work to the best of my ability. For fun, I love taking a stroll and I love listening to music.

Recommendations

Paula worked with my mother-in-law from 2011 to March 2018. We were very happy with Paula as a caregiver. My mother-in-law has dementia and needs help with every part of her daily life. Paula would go there on a daily basis and help her with bathing, feeding her, and cleaning her home. Paula would always keep me in the loop. We live about 2 hours away, so Paula was always in constant communication with us. I also loved that she would text pictures to me. Paula is a very diligent worker and I appreciated that. She was very considerate of my mother-in-law and was always trying to please her. She would cook her favorite meals and talk with her. She is also very observant and good with monitoring medications. If my mother-in-law switched a medication and was acting funny, Paula would notify me so then I could notify the doctor. We moved my mother-in-law into a nursing home, so that is why we had to let Paula go. I recommend her highly.

Paula was a caregiver for my mother and father, both at different times before they passed away in 2011 and 2012. My mother had Alzheimer's and my father had a heart condition. Paula would come in on an hourly basis to assist them with their activities of daily living. She would cook and clean for my mother. She made sure they were happy and took my father for walks. Paula is an upbeat person. She was always on time and reliable for us. She's also very responsible and I highly recommend her. She'll be there for you when you need her and I was confident in her skills as an aide for my parents.
