About Me

I am from the Republic of Georgia. I became a caregiver because I like to help people in need and I really enjoy it. I try very hard to make my clients comfortable. I feel happy when my clients are happy -- it is the best feeling ever. As a caregiver I am very calm, responsible, and very hardworking. I am also trustworthy. I am patient with my clients, which is my best quality. I like to cook for my clients and they love my food. I like to take my clients out, for instance, to Broadway shows, movies, or to the park. I always remind my clients about their medications and I can go with them to doctor appointments. For fun, I love to read, play the piano, and cook.

Recommendations

Lela was a caregiver for my father from December 2016 until October 2017, when he moved to a nursing home. She took incredible care of him. She provided assistance in all aspects of his daily life, including bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, and driving to appointments. My father is legally blind and very hard of hearing. Lela is kind, caring, competent, and compassionate -- and she gave dedicated service to our family. We were grateful to have had her caring for my father and highly recommend her to any future employer.

My mother was 90 years old when we made her stop driving. She was still in good health, but living alone in a big house and we didn't feel that was safe. We hired Lela (we called her Nina) in 2010 and she lived with mom, 24/7, until mom died in 2015. Nina was kind and understanding, easy to talk with and fun to be around. Mom loved her and they had a wonderful relationship. She became a member of our family and even bought me gifts on my birthday. Nina took over the house and did everything that was needed, for example, she called the plumber when there was a leak, and she did it without much instruction from me. She cooked, helped mom get dressed, and drove her to appointments. They shopped, went to the movies, went to restaurants, and took a walk every day that the weather permitted. We were so grateful to have her. Mom had a brief illness before she died, and Nina was as good a caregiver to mom when she was sick as she had been when mom was well. I live close by and saw mom and Nina frequently. I fully recommend her to anyone. They will be lucky to have Nina. We were.
