About Me

I have always liked to work with the elderly and I also wanted to be in the medical field. I became a caregiver in 2004. I'm a kind, loving, and caring caregiver and I love being around the elderly. I like to help them with their daily routines and make them happy in their homes. I take my clients out for walks and also have conversations with them to keep them involved and updated. I always have a smile on my face. I like to keep my work environment tidy and well kept. I prepare delicious, nutritious meals for my clients. My clients tend to love me because of the positive impact I have in their lives. For fun, I like to watch soap operas and also go to the park. I love to go shopping as well as listen to music.

Recommendations

Carol has cared for three different family members at three different times from 2009-2016. Obviously, we are very happy with the care she gives and would hire her again, without question. First, she cared for my brother-in-law. He had a liver transplant and heart problems, and she worked with him for about a year until he died. Then, my mother's dementia worsened and we hired Carol to be with her in her independent living facility. Mom lived for for about a year and immediately after her death, Carol took over care of my mother-in-law, who was also in an independent living facility. My mother-in-law had dementia as well, and she lived for almost 5 years. Carol was always reliable, personable, and polite. She took each of them to doctor appointments, did light cleaning and shopping, and took them on excursions when it was appropriate. Both my mom and mother-in-law had meals provided by the facility, but towards the end of their lives, they couldn't really eat in the dining room, so Carol did some cooking for them as well. She did whatever was necessary and I didn't have to micro-manage her. I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Carol was one of the women we hired to work with my father for around-the-clock care. She worked with him from January to April 2018, when he passed away. My father could no longer walk. He needed help with dressing, bathing, feeding, and hygiene. He also wore diapers, so those had to be changed. She provided basic, general care and also would check his blood pressure. The caregivers on the team kept a diary/log, which was very helpful. I got very lucky with the women who cared for my father. Carol was terrific with him. They would joke and laugh together and keep my father company. You could tell this was more than a job for her. I recommend her 1000%.
