About Me

I've always been one who loves to help and be there for people through thick and thin. I actually lived in a retirement home when I was younger while my father worked there, so I grew up around the elderly. I would love to be a doctor one day, and I'm currently in school for practical nursing. I'm very patient, easy going, and understanding. I'm also relatable, energetic, willing. and very caring. I like to keep a positive attitude and keep people laughing. I also know when it's time to be serious and get things done. I know how to handle and react in emergency or tough situations. For fun, I enjoy listening to music and going for drives. I also like to play billiards/pool.

Recommendations

I am the CEO of a secondary school for people over 18 with disabilities. Isaac lived with one of our students for two years in 2017 and 2018. The student is very difficult. He doesn't like change and doesn't like to be told what to do. Isaac had a very good way of presenting options and giving him control when appropriate. He was dependable, responsible, and reliable. Isaac was the primary caregiver in charge of the well-being of his client, and he managed all aspects of the client's life. He did a great job managing the client's needs and when appropriate, came to me for help and guidance. He drove the client to doctor appointments, gave medication reminders, sent the grocery list to the client's mother, and did the cooking. Isaac is on the quiet side, and easy to be around. He is straightforward, and was a calming influence on the client. He left the case to go back to school.

I was Isaac's Nursing Clinical & Lab Instructor in the fall of 2018. He was very good clinically and I would hire him to care for me. He is kind, physically strong, and excellent with the elderly and with difficult families. We have many indigent clients in our clinic and families suffering the effects of substance abuse, and Isaac impressed me with his ability to connect to everyone. We had a client with pneumonia and everyone in the room had to wear a mask. Isaac sat by the bedside for 6 hours, never even getting up to get a drink, use the facilities, or take a break. In another case, we had to tell a Spanish-speaking family that their loved one had cancer. Isaac acted as interpreter, and he answered the same difficult questions over and over, without losing patience or compassion. I have 4-5 students every 10 years I would recommend like this. He is very special.
