About Me

I was born in the Republic of Georgia, lived for a while in Italy, and am now a citizen of the United States. I speak fluent Italian, Georgian, and English. I love the United States and I am happy to live here. In my country, I was a pharmacist, and also have significant experience working as a caregiver. I like to be with elderly people and to take care of them. I know that I will get old one day, too, and I learn a lot from the people I care for. By choosing me as a caregiver for your loved one, you will be choosing professionalism and comfort.

Recommendations

I highly recommend Sophia because she is an excellent aide who took care of my mom so nicely. She kept my mom very clean and the house was always spotless. Sophia always cooked delicious meals for my mom. Sophia would make all of her favorite recipes and speak to her in Italian. She would put the oxygen mask on my mom as per the schedule. During the last year, she would use the Hoyer lift to move mom between her bed and the chair. I appreciated that she had the experience to do that. Sophia didn't sit for a minute. She loves to stay busy, so after she took care of my mother, she would clean the house and take care of the plants. Sophia started working for us in December 2017 and was with mom for almost four years until my mother's death in July 2021. Having Sophia caring for my mother took a big load off my back because I knew my mom was in good hands all of the time. She went over and beyond what I expected. She is one of a kind and I would recommend her 100 percent.

Sophia is a wonderful person and was an asset to my family. My mom had Alzheimer's disease and Sophia was her live-in caregiver from 2015 until she passed in December 2017. She always looked after my mom and made sure she was safe and clean at all times. She made some changes in my mom's routine that benefited mom in so many ways. She would give my mom two or three baths/showers a day if needed. She called my mom "Nonna" which in Italian means "grandmother." She got attached to my mom as if she were her own grandmother. She always interacted with my mom by hugging her, playing games with her, and dancing with her to Italian music to give her some exercise. They played cards and did puzzles, and Sophia even taught her to crochet again. I feel that these types of interactions kept her mind active. My mom did know a little English but because of the Alzheimer's, she lost what she knew. But she remembered the language she spoke for more than 80 years, Italian, and since Sophia is fluent in Italian, she and my mom were able to communicate. That was a blessing. Sophia also knows how to cook many Italian recipes and her food was delicious. Sophia cooked soft foods for mom, including some delicious soups that would help my mom's digestive system. She would make sure that my mom would finish all her food on the plate by playing games with her. Another strong asset of Sophia is her cleanliness. I have never seen a house so sparkling clean. You could have eaten off my mother's kitchen floor. We all loved Sophia so much and she became a member of our family. Sophia is an excellent and devoted worker, and I am sure she will be an asset wherever she goes.
