About Me

I had my own business as a hairstylist and later found passion in caregiving. While I was thinking about changing professions, I had an opportunity to help a friend who was on a caregiving case. I loved every single thing I did and that confirmed my decision to become a caregiver. I like when I'm able to make my clients comfortable and independent and I always love to see positive outcomes. I take my time to understand my client’s needs, and therefore personalize their care based on their needs. For instance, I cook nutritious meals for them while avoiding restricted foods. I also engage them in activities and exercises that will promote their health. I am very outgoing, funny, pleasant, and caring -- and I'm a person you can confide in. I take pride in being very punctual, I take my job seriously, and I always make my client my priority. I love to travel, cook, play board games, and read anything related to health.

Recommendations

Carol provided exceptional care as a 24/7 caregiver from Dec. 2023 to Oct. 2024. She is a tremendously capable person with a depth of experience. My mother needed help with hygiene, diaper changes, and almost all of her activities of daily living. When Carol arrived, she was bedridden, but under Carol's care, she has improved greatly and is no longer confined to her bed. Carol was also amazing with cooking. We found Carol to be highly responsible and trustworthy. And she has been a great partner to me and my sister, pioneering the role as our first caregiver for our parents, and serving admirably in this role for 10 months.

Carol was my grandfather's 24/7 live-in caregiver from August 2015 through June 2019. My grandfather had dementia, and his circadian rhythm was different from day to day. My grandfather needed assistance with dressing, bathing, and other daily living tasks. Carol also helped my grandfather with light cooking and housekeeping, as well as laundry. Carol was extremely detail-oriented, and always made sure my grandfather's needs were addressed, whether he was becoming active late in the evening, or settling down in the morning for a nap. Carol also would drive my grandfather to the doctor and take him shopping. Carol was always smiling when she was around my grandfather, and she displayed a personable, pleasant demeanor when I visited my grandfather's home. I did not live in the same state as my grandfather, but I consistently heard positive updates and feedback about Carol from relatives who lived a little closer. Carol is a most exemplary human being, and I would definitely hire her again as a caregiver -- even for myself.

Carol cared for my mother from 2011-2015. She was with her for 12 hours at a time. My mother was bedridden, and had diabetes and high blood pressure. Keeping my mother clean and well-fed were things that were very important to me. Carol fulfilled those responsibilities to my satisfaction. Sometimes my mother would have challenges eating, and Carol went out of her way to prepare low-sodium, low-sugar foods that were consistent with my mother's dietary needs, but were tasty and rewarding. I visited my mother several times a week, and communicated with Carol via phone calls and text messages. I always knew what was happening with regard to my mother's care and condition. Carol was dependable, and was an exceptional caregiver. She was very patient with my mother and I recommend her 100 percent.
