About Me

I was born in the Republic of Georgia. I earned my Master's Degree in Economics and worked as a manager of a retail store for many years. As the political situation changed, I started tutoring students in mathematics from my home. My husband is a professor at the university but the salary is very low and we fell upon hard times. Because of the economic situation, I moved to the United States to be able to earn money. Being a caregiver was something I could do when I first arrived, and I found that I can give care with my whole heart and really make a difference for my clients. I am an honest person and I give my all to the job. For 14 months, I cared for a person with dementia. I was everything to her and she became everything to me. When I care for someone who needs help, I feel it's the best thing I can do. When I have free time, I love to read.

My mom was quite ill. We hired Julie to live with her 24/7 in January 2020 and she was with mom until her final hospitalization at the end of March 2021. Mom broke her hip for the third time during the Covid pandemic and this time, could not have surgery, so she was pretty much bedridden. Julie did everything she could do in a very trying situation. Mom had a lot of anxiety and didn't ever want to be left alone. She didn't sleep much during the night and she had some dementia and forgetfulness. In addition, her eyesight was extremely poor. Julie's responsibilities included cooking, cleaning, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, and toileting. She took my mother to physical therapy appointments and often to the doctor as well. Mom seemed to like having Julie around, and my sister and I thought she was wonderful. I think of her as a sister; she really became part of our family. Julie is very loving and caring and was always looking out for my mother's best interests. She knew how to calm mom's anxieties, and let me know when the issues were real enough that I should be involved. I thought she did a very good job of keeping in touch with me. When there was an emergency, Julie did exactly the right things, and sat with mom at her hospital bedside for hours. Mom died at 92 and my sister and I are very grateful for the love and care that Julie gave mom. I would certainly call her again if I needed a caregiver.

Julie provided live-in care for both my parents from approximately July through November 2019. Both had age-related challenges, but my mother needed more assistance. Julie would assist my parents in their house by doing light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry. She also provided personal care to my mother, and used their vehicle to take them to the store and for haircuts. I did not live with my parents, but would visit very often. I was pleased with how Julie kept my parents' house clean and my mother comfortable. Julie's strength lies in her ability to be a wonderful companion and to provide personal care with a gentle touch. She is a loving, caring lady who worked very hard and did whatever she could to assist. Julie stopped working with our family when my mother's health declined and we needed to bring in hospice. We miss her. We considered her as part of our extended family and appreciated her loving attention and devotion.

Julie was a live-in caregiver for my mother, who had congestive heart failure, mobility issues, and high blood pressure. Julie's bubbly personality suited Mom perfectly, and she worked with our family for about a year, from June 2018 through June 2019. Julie helped my mother with personal care, feeding, light housekeeping, and laundry. We share a two-family house, and I was always on Mom's side of the house. Julie's caring nature was always evident, no matter what time of day I popped in. Though we ended our arrangements with Julie because family members took over Mom's care as her health improved, we consider Julie part of our family and totally recommend her as a caregiver.
