About Me

Ever since I was a little girl, I always tried to help the elderly. Growing up, I continued doing so. I always try to help people with their daily living activities. I like to help them with errands, and I enjoy reading with them. I always like to see when my clients are happy and I especially like to make them laugh. I try to talk about their past, what they used to do, and their experiences. It's a wonderful experience working with them because I always think about my parents, and I just recently lost my mother and I was helping her out. Working with the elderly makes me feel really good inside because I know that I am helping them like I would my own parents. Every family that I have worked with, they always keep in touch with me and see me as a part of their family. I have a very pleasing personality -- I like to laugh, I like to be funny. I just try to be "me" in all situations; I'm true to myself. You'll also find me to I'm extremely trustworthy. When I have free time, I like to read and I like to cook. And I also really like to clean.

Recommendations

My mom had dementia and Winsome was her caregiver from October 2006 to November 2008, when she passed away. Mom was living with me, so I interacted with Winsome quite a bit. She was a pleasure to have around. She's the kind of person who does things right and went above and beyond my expectations. She treated my mother like she was her own mother. She is dedicated, professional, and responsible, and also compassionate and lovable. She makes you feel comfortable when you first meet her and my whole family developed good relationships with her. In addition to being a companion, Winsome also did laundry, cooking, and shopping. I would absolutely recommend her.

Winsome took care of my mother from 2009-2011. My mother had dementia. I cannot say enough good things about Winsome -- she took the best care of my mom. She dressed her, bathed her, and did everything she needed done. Winsome would stay at night by her bedside when she went to bed, made sure she was comfortable before leaving. My mom absolutely loved her. She was so caring and so gentle with her and had incredible patience, beyond anyone I have ever met. Winsome would do things that had nothing to do with care -- she organized closets and made my mother's life the best it could be with the illness she had. When my mother repeated herself, Winsome would continue to hold a normal conversation with her and I was amazed at how she did that. I still text her. I just love and respect her beyond the person who took care of my mom. She became a good friend to me and checks on me with texts once in a while if she doesn't hear from me to make sure I am okay. I always felt that my mother was safe with Winsome and it gave me piece of mind. At one point, a bed sore started to develop. Winsome didn't hesitate to tell me and she did everything possible to be sure it healed and went away. She is the best thing possible -- anyone would be lucky to have her.
