About Me

When I came to the United States in 1996, I worked in a factory, and my part-time job was working in an assisted living facility on the weekends. I enjoyed taking care of the elderly and that's when I decided to train as a Certified Nurse Aide in 2001, and I worked at a nursing home for 8 years. I love to take care of the elderly. I think it's a very fun job. I love to help my clients get dressed nicely and feel good. I like to sit down and talk with them, and I especially love to laugh with my clients. I can drive my clients wherever they need to go. My clients have always loved me because I'm very caring and patient. I like to laugh a lot, and I'm very easygoing. When I'm not working, I like to go shopping and go to the movies. I also enjoy cooking. I really love to spend time with my family. I have 8 grandchildren and there are 2 sets of twins.

Recommendations

Verona took care of my mother for about five years from 2010-2015. My mother is 90 years old and needed assistance with everything. Verona came in and got her up in the morning, she gave her a shower, dressed her, and got her ready for the day. She prepared meals for her. My mother felt very comfortable having her around. She was soft-spoken and had a nice gentle touch. I found her to be very reliable, always on time, and even in bad weather she would make it to the house. She is very trustworthy and very pleasant. I wish her well and hope she finds a nice family where she can provide the same good care she gave my mother.

My mother suffered from dementia and was significantly overweight. Verona was an hourly caregiver for her from 2008 until her death in June 2010. She was incredibly reliable. It didn't matter what the weather was -- Verona showed up for work. She's on the quiet side, but is a sweet person with a passion for caregiving. She was responsible for all of my mother's activities of daily living and she sometimes drove mom around. She went with my mother to her doctor appointments and the doctor was very impressed with Verona. She and mom had a special relationship and she loved mom very much. At the end, my mother only would open her eyes for Verona. Not for me, but only for Verona. You will not regret hiring her.
