About Me

I'm from the Republic of Georgia and I came to America in 1998 with my sister. I have one son, who I love. I graduated from a university in my country with my associate's in nursing and then I continued my education in America and received my Bachelor's of Nursing. I love nursing because I am the type of person who, if someone needs something, they reach out to me because they know I will help. This is my calling and it makes me truly happy to do what I am doing. I'm a very active person. I'm very caring and very warm. I am very bubbly and I laugh and joke a lot. I like to make people laugh. I'm a workaholic but when I'm not working, I love to go to the theater, concerts, and the opera. I can also play the piano and guitar, and at one point of my life I was an actress.

Recommendations

Irma lived with my mother from June 2003 until her death in November 2005. Mom had Parkinsons, was diabetic and had very slight dementia, among other medical issues. Irma's performance at work was excellent. She was always there with her professional skills. In addition to helping with her activities of daily living, she drove mom to the doctor (in her own car) and they spent time out of the house together. My mom was a social person and so is Irma and they got along well. Irma loved to surprise my mother and was very creative. I remember specifically a cake that she baked and decorated for my mother's birthday, and she was always doing things to make occasions special. Irma is very trustworthy and reliable, and she became part of our family. I would give her the highest marks and definitely recommend her.

Irma was a caregiver for my father from February 2006 through December 2010. When she started, he was 92 years old and had slight dementia. She worked during the day and he was alone at night. As the years progressed, his dementia worsened and he needed care 24/7. She was extremely helpful and very honest and clearly cared for him. She got to know the neighbors and they knew her. She took care of dad's physical and emotional needs. Irma is a smart woman who cares very much about her work. Dad was in New York and I was in Pennsylvania, so while I only visited once a month, I spoke to her on the phone almost every day. I gave her money to spend and she always had the receipts and I felt very comfortable knowing that she was in the house and caring for my father. If I needed a caregiver again, I would hire her.
