About Me

When I was younger, I would assist my great-grandmother, who was very old. I would feed her lunch when my other family left for the day. I wanted to help older people when I came to America in 1998. I love to help people, especially those who are sick and need assistance. I love to hear their stories. I have a lot of patience. I like to get to know my clients so I ask a lot of questions. I like to watch TV, and I also like to exercise. I like to cook homemade meals for my clients. My past clients have treated me like family, and we have become very close. I love to go out with my clients when the weather is nice.

Recommendations

Rose and I worked as a team with a geriatric care manager to care for a client. I am a professional organizer and had worked for many years for this client, who has no family. He had a stroke years ago and was doing ok, but he fell and broke his neck and needed 24-hour care. Rose moved in and was a marvelous caregiver. She went above and beyond my expectations. I would come by often, but not on a regular schedule. The apartment was always clean and the client was always dressed. Rose cooked whatever he wanted and helped with his activities of daily living. She worked with him and got him up and walking again. In my mind, she was better than a physical therapist. I could see improvement in him every day. The client thought she was great, and she gave him a lot of self confidence. Rose is dependable and it was important to me and to the care manager that we could trust her. In all the time I spent with her, I never heard a sharpness in her tone, or saw her sitting back and relaxing. She took it upon herself to help organize. She is a hard worker and a good person.

Rose cared for my 61-year-old husband from January until April 2017, when he passed away. I am a registered nurse and extremely picky when it comes to caregivers. She came in three nights a week, so that I could get some much needed rest. I felt confident and reassured that he was getting the care and attention that he needed. Rose is a mild-mannered person who is patient and meticulous. She assisted me in caring for my husband's ostomy bag, and she kept him calm, dry, and comfortable. She was always prompt and extremely professional. Rose is reserved, but has a good sense of humor. I relied on her and trusted her completely -- and I recommend her as a caregiver.
