About Me

I was born and raised in the Republic of Georgia and I came to the United States in 2006 with my family. My mother became really sick and it was very expensive to take care of her. I decided to stop my job to take care of my mother. I did all necessary things to make her comfortable and I took care of her for 5 years and then she decided to go back to Georgia. I love this job because I love to see results -- such as the clients being happy, comfortable, and getting better, among many others. Most of my clients will describe me as hard working, reliable, and trustworthy. I always do my best to care for my clients. For fun, I love to swim and read historical books.

Mike worked for us for the past three years until early 2023 and he would always go above and beyond. Always on time, Mike pulled double shifts in emergency situations and is a team player. He has always been professional and respectful, and most important, patient with a very sick man. He would be an amazing asset to anyone lucky enough to hire him. Manila is hard-working and gentle. If you have any questions please feel free to call me. I am the cousin of Robert Crescentini and can say honestly, Mamuka was my key employee.

Mike was a 24/7 live-in care provider for my father for about 1 1/2 years. My father suffered from COPD, as well as mesothelioma and leukemia. Initially, my father did not want anybody to take care of him, but Mike's personality won my dad over and he and Mike got along really well. Mike was very good at his job, and was with my dad until the end. He reminded my father to take his medications, prepared simple meals for him, and did light housekeeping. As my father's health declined, he relied more on Mike to help him with activities of daily living. Mike always made sure my father was neat and clean, especially with his catheter bag. If my father came down with a respiratory infection, Mike was very diligent in taking my father to the doctor, and helping him stay on top of his antibiotic regimen. Thankfully, my father did not have dementia and was mobile. In addition to accompanying my father to his doctor appointments, Mike would also bring him to my house for dinner once a week. Mike would also bring my father to church, go shopping with him, and take him for haircuts. We live close by, and we were always pleased to see how well Mike took care of my dad and how clean his house was whenever we stopped in. If I had another male relative who needed care, I would definitely hire Mike again. I recommend him without hesitation.

In the three years that Mike took care of my husband, he proved to be a godsend not only for my husband, who was suffering with a progressive neurological disease, but also, in this sad, challenging time, for our entire family. No list of effusive adjectives could adequately describe the compassion, devotion, and wisdom that Mike showed in his care of both my husband and my entire family. My husband suffered from frontal temporal dementia, a disease that rendered him incapable of speech and precipitated a steady loss of bodily functions. With his increasing decline, his physicians suggested that I place him in a nursing home. However, after a brief, disappointing stay at one of the top nursing homes in New York City, I took my husband home and was lucky enough to find Mike to take over his care. Mike assumed complete responsibility for all his needs, from attending to his personal hygiene to preparing homemade meals and conducting physical therapy exercises. In fact, my husband's medical doctors were astonished by the extraordinary care that Mike lavished on him. Though my husband could no longer communicate verbally, Mike was keenly attuned to his needs and I was amazed to see my husband smile at Mike every time he approached him. During this stressful time in our family, Mike remained consistently reliable and steady. He never missed a day of work or even arrived late and he often stayed past his scheduled hours to help out when we encountered a problem. Mike has become an important member of our family and continues to attend family events since I lost my husband. Anyone would be lucky indeed to have Mike care for a loved one.

Mike was employed by my sister, Leslie, during the period of time when her husband was very ill with cancer. Mike assisted my sister in every aspect of care for my brother-in-law with deep respect, dedication, and kindness. He stayed through hospice care and rarely took time off but to shower, briefly rest at home, and them come back to work again. I don't know how my sister or our family would have coped without Mike. Mike is professional, honest, hard working, and a true gentleman. I hold him in highest regard and give my enthusiastic recommendation. Everyone should have such luck as to have a person like Mike to help them during illness and loss.

We had the privilege of having Mike work with our family for several years from 2013-2014. He was kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and above all, professional at all times. He became a member of our family. Mike would be an asset to anybody seeking to retain his services. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a caregiver. If you have any questions regarding this reference, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time. Sincerely,

- Jeffrey L., New York
