About Me

I was born in Mexico but raised in the United States and I became a caregiver here in 2010. I like helping and taking care of elderly people. I have developed a great passion for this job. None of my clients or their families that I've worked with has ever complained about my work -- my clients have all loved me. I like to make the clients and their family happy. I am always there to motivate and encourage them. I help them with their activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or any personal care they might need. I also love to cook, and I enjoy cooking healthy meals for my clients. I am very patient, caring, and down to earth. I also consider myself to be hard working and honest. In my spare time, I love to read, write short novels, and cook.

Rosa worked with one of my clients for more than three years starting in March 2020 until my client passed away in May 2023. I am a care manager and Rosa provided care for my client, who lived alone and had primary diagnosis of dementia and depression. Initially, the client needed just supervision and guidance, but in August of 2022, she had a sudden physical and cognitive decline requiring a higher level of care. Rosa had the patience to handle a client with dementia with periods of agitation and confusion and she used her experience and knowledge to work with my client in maintaining her safe at home. She made sure my client was clean, well-groomed, and ate well. As my client's condition deteriorated, Rosa provided the care needed for a bed-bound client.

Having Rosa as an in-home aide for my elderly parents was a great relief for me, and more importantly, my parents. The reasons for this are many. Because of the years of professional experience that Rosa has, she was able to provide us with the kind and the level of service that I and my parents greatly needed. In addition to the typical duties of helping with personal hygiene and medication, Rosa also gave valuable advice and suggestions on various areas of senior care. Hence, Ms. she thankfully gave us the industry’s best practices in caring for the elderly. Rosa took her responsibilities seriously, with her biggest and most important concern being the safety and well being of my parents. Always friendly and polite, Rosa showed patience and understanding when dealing with seniors like my parents who have difficult personalities and behaviors of the kind that the elderly often have. Rosa was reliable and punctual, and got the job done in a thoughtful, respectful, and kind way. Because Rosa understands the special aspects and needs of those who need geriatric care, we had great confidence in her. In fact, Rosa became an invaluable partner in the care of my parents who have very high standards and can be extremely demanding. Please note that this strong recommendation for Rosa is reinforced by the fact that my parents would gladly rehire her if needed. Having Rosa as your in-home aide is a wise decision; a decision I am confident you will not regret.

Rosa took care of both of my parents in their private home from December 2015 until December 2016. My mother had advanced dementia at the time, and my father was just beginning to show signs of aging and dementia. Rosa lived with my parents 4 days of the week and provided total care for them. My father was still independent at the time, so Rosa was sensitive to his needs and was there to support him as needed. She was there mostly to assist my mother, who was in a wheelchair, if they went out together. I'm not kidding when I say that we went through about 45 different aides before finding Rosa. She is an amazing aide, and I was able to see her work first hand because I visited frequently. Rosa put life back into my mother; she took her out to the movies, dressed her up, took her shopping, and provided top notch companionship. Our situation wasn't the easiest to deal with, but Rosa never got frustrated and really became like family to us. I recommend her highly.

Rosa was a live-in aide for my mother from December 2016 until she passed away in August 2017. My mother had a severe stroke and since 2011 we had needed help. We're so glad that we found Rosa because she was unlike any of the aides we had prior to her. She was fabulous and the most loving, kind, and gentle caregiver we encountered. My mother was an invalid and needed help with practically everything. She used a walker and wasn't very stable on her feet. She was also a larger woman, so it was challenging. Rosa had to use the Hoyer lift with her. She bathed my mother in bed, assisted with toileting, cooked, cleaned, and did it all. She did my mother's nails and her hair. My mother and Rosa lived with me during that time, so I saw Rosa on a daily basis. We all loved having her around and I recommend her highly.
