About Me

I decided to become a caregiver because I took care of my grandma in Ghana. She had a stroke and I took care of all of her needs. The doctors were very impressed with my care for her and how I was able to extend her life. I decided to make this a career because I love to take care of other people. I love to hear about my client's stories. I love being able to make other people happy. I cook for my clients, and if they are able to, we go for walks outside. I'm a loving, funny, and kind person. When I see my clients going through hard times, I am emotional, so I try to make them as happy as I can. I respect my clients and I'm very compassionate. I work hard to please my clients and never complain about my work. For fun, I like watching movies. I also enjoy shopping, reading, singing, and listening to music.

Recommendations

My aunt had dementia and was physically frail. She lived in her own home and I was able to visit 3-4 times each week because I only lived about 20 minutes away. We cycled through a number of caregivers before Cynthia, but once she moved in with my aunt, she stayed for two years (2012-2014) until my aunt's death. My aunt loved her and they had a real connection. I feel that Cynthia is a caregiver from her heart and am happy to sing her praises. She helped my aunt with all activities of daily living and even used her own car to drive my aunt to the doctor. Cynthia is a nice person with a bubbly personality. I trusted her with my beloved aunt and I know that anyone who hires Cynthia will love her.

Cynthia was employed as my mother's aide from December 2011 until March 2012. We found her to be pleasant and well groomed, and she has a wonderful personality. Her duties included lifting my mother from bed, showering her, and dressing her every morning. She did it all with a smile and very tenderly. Cynthia prepared three meals a day for my mom and she offered her drinks and snacks, also. They would walk around the house for exercise because my mother was 93 and hated to go outside in the winter. They did that a few times a day together. Cynthia kept my mother dressed comfortably and clean. She also did the laundry and cleaned the house. Cynthia could also sit with her during the day and keep her company. I strongly recommend Cynthia to anyone who wants a caring person in their lives.
