About Me

I was born and raised in the Republic of Georgia. Back in my country, I was a medical doctor and I worked for more than 10 years as an anesthesiologist. I came to the United States in 2003 and became a caregiver in 2004. I became a caregiver because it was close to my career as a medical doctor. I always love to help my clients to make their lives easier. I am able to use my medical knowledge to assist, educate, and motivate all my clients when needed. I am able to teach them the proper and healthy skills to promote their health. I am also helpful in any kind of situation when it comes to my client’s health. I am outspoken, very professional, caring, honest, reliable, and hard working. When I am not working, I love to go to the movies or see Broadway shows. I also love to relax as well.

Recommendations

Manana has been the weekend caregiver for my father for six months since December 2017. She is terrific, and I like to call her our early Christmas present. We have had a lot of bad aides in the past, so we've been through our fair share of people, but Manana is amazing. My father has Alzheimer's and in 2016 the disease took over and he went downhill from there. We have needed 24-hour care for him since then, and Manana is now one of the weekend people. My father is wheelchair bound so she assists him with transfers, cooking, pureeing foods and feeding him, bathing him, and providing his medications. Manana is really gifted as a caregiver, we just get this good feeling from her when she's around. She's extremely reliable and I don't think she's ever been late for us. She's calm and confident in what she does, and we really are so lucky to have her. I recommend her highly.

Mom is 102 years old. We have a steady live-in caregiver, but when our caregiver needs time off, Manana fills in. Manana has worked for a month at a time, and also for occasional weekends. She is terrific and I would hire her in a heartbeat if our current caregiver were to leave. My mother's mental state is pretty clear, but she uses a walker and needs help showering and dressing. Manana is a great cook and she takes good care of mom. She is approachable, smart and articulate. I'm impressed at her excellent English skills. Though we would hate to lose her, I know Manana would be an asset for another family.
