About Me

I took care of my mother who had breast cancer and I also took care of my mother in-law. I love to help my clients become independent in their home. I am compassionate, punctual, and very trustworthy. I communicate well with the client's family, especially about the client's well being. I can run errands, go grocery shopping, manage doctor appointments, and do physical therapy exercises. I have a lot of experience with different clients. I have a positive attitude towards my job. For fun, I like to cook, especially following new recipes. I also love to read and travel.

My father had moderate dementia and needed full-time care. Ellie lived with him four days a week from August 2017 until his death in February 2018. She was wonderful and a real asset for our family. We had other caregivers and there is no comparison. She was by far the best caregiver. Ellie is bright, organized, and responsible. She traveled a distance to get to work and was always on time and reliable. She is a leader and got along well with the other aides on the team. I liked that she respected my father and gave him his independence, and more importantly, gave him dignity. She kept him clean, encouraged him to call me, and learned to prepare the foods he liked. The dementia brought out some anger issues in my dad, but Ellie was able to deflect and keep him calm. She always seemed to be aware of his feelings and his needs. I also was impressed with Ellie's understanding of my father's medical issues. At one point, he was hospitalized because he was retaining fluids. Once he was home, she kept careful track of his weight, intake, and output. In general, I have only praise for Ellie and her abilities and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her.

Ellie was my mother's caregiver from around 2014-2017, until she passed away. My mother had a massive stroke and was very unsteady on her feet. After her stroke, she then started suffering from epileptic episodes. Ellie lived with my mother in her home and took care of her in such a gentle and loving manner. Ellie is even mannered and calm. She was a lovely addition in my mother's home. I know my mother also appreciated Ellie's caring manner and also that she was intelligent. They would sit and do crossword puzzles together and have great conversations together. Ellie was like a special friend to my mother, and she never felt like she was her "nurse." My mother had to go into the hospital a few times, and Ellie stayed by her side and never left her. She would do my mother's laundry and also cook for her. My mother also loved to cook, so they would be in the kitchen together a lot of the time. We could rely on Ellie and her skills to take care of my mother, and that was very important to us. Ellie is also very perceptive and picked up on my mother's moods if she wanted to be left alone, etc. Ellie was amazing and so helpful to us, she will be a great help to other families if they hire her.
