Eka worked with my mother for several months in 2018 and I am pleased to recommend her. She stepped in quickly to a challenging situation and quickly distinguished herself as a professional aide who combines skills and good judgment with compassion and warmth. Eka's primary responsibility was ensuring the physical safety of my 88-year-old mother, who suffered from mild dementia, while greatly valuing her independence and autonomy. On numerous occasions, Eka was called upon in the middle of the night to calm my mother and divert her from wandering or otherwise injuring herself. She was also responsible for organizing my mother's medications, assisting her with household tasks, and seeing that she received adequate meals. I found Eka to be professional, kind, patient, and skillful. Caring for a physically fit and mobile client who is also grappling with dementia is a significant challenge, and Eka handled it well at all times that I observed her.
