About Me

I came to the United States in 1999. My first job caregiving job was around 2002 and I found that I love to care for and to be there for people. I have met a lot of nice people through my jobs. I'm friendly, funny, caring, responsible, and loyal. I treat people the way that I want to be treated. I don't like drama. I'm positive all the time, and I believe that no matter what, everything will be ok in the end. I take my job very seriously, and I believe in working hard. I can do anything my clients want to do. In the past, I've gone to musical shows, movies, walking around the park, and I even took a client to Atlantic City once. I like keep my client active, if they want. I know when to give people their space and their privacy. For fun, I like going bowling, going to the beach, and traveling. I like experiencing different cultures, restaurants, and museums. I'm a very open person and willing to try new things.

Nani was my parents' caregiver from around 2006-2011. My mother had dementia and physically could not take care of herself anymore. My father was physically fine, so Nani assisted him with some things such as cooking and laundry, but she was mainly there for my mother. Nani lived with my parents, which was very helpful because I lived an hour away from them, so I was able to rely on Nani being there for them at all hours. Nani helped my mother with dressing, going to the bathroom, cooking, feeding, and everything in between. She got along great with both of my parents and took great care of them. I didn't want to put my mother in a nursing home, so having Nani there made our lives easier. My mother passed away but I'm very grateful for the care that Nani provided to my family when we needed it.

We referred to Nani as "Tea," and she was without a doubt my mother's angel. Tea is a phenomenal caregiver. My mother was 86 at the time and was failing. My father had just recently died and then my brother passed away. With everything that happened, my mother went downhill from there. This was in 2011. We had a caregiver before Tea and she was horrible. My mom didn't want to tell me how bad she was until I found bruises on her body because she fell under her watch. We fired that woman and hired Tea. The only thing with Tea was that at that time, she had to bring her son with her to live in the house with my mother, but my mother loved children and it was great. (Her son is older now, so she may not have to do that any longer.) Tea did everything for my mom. She bathed her and cooked for her, and my mom was able to use a walker but Tea had to supervise her. Tea took are of my mother's medical needs and knew exactly what to do. I know that my mother loved her, and I can't recommend her highly enough. You won't find anyone better.
