About Me
When I was in my home country of Georgia, I had the pleasure of taking care of my grandmother when she was sick, and it showed me that I have the right skills and personality to be a good caretaker. I always wanted to work in the healthcare field and I became a nurse in my home country. When I came to the United States in 2017, I continued my caregiving career by getting my Home Health Aide certification. It’s a blessing to be able to make my clients comfortable. I am a patient and responsible person. My hobby is music and I love to listen to all kinds of music, though my favorite type of music is jazz. I also play the piano.

Mia helped support our mother during a period of transition and physical decline. Mia started as a full-time, live-in caregiver in September 2023 and several months later, our mother suffered a heart attack which rendered her bedridden for a time. Mia worked with her for about a year and took great care to make sure that my mother stayed well, took all of her medications, and continued to eat regular meals. Mia's thoughtfulness in making my mother's favorite stuffed cabbage (that were both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat) brought our mother comfort and much needed nourishment during a very challenging time.

Mia was a great caregiver for my 93-year-old aunt from November 2021 until April 2022 when my aunt moved to a memory care unit in an assisted living community. Mia and my aunt lived together 24/7 and though it was only for five months, Mia really became part of our family. She's caring and upbeat and very family oriented. Mia's responsibilities included occasional cooking, medication reminders, and help with dressing and bathing. She also did the laundry and housekeeping. Mia said that she liked it to be clean where she lived and she did a great job of keeping the condo in tip-top shape. We were very lucky to have Mia caring for my aunt. One afternoon when my aunt was sundowning and having a difficult time, Mia got the idea to sit down at the piano and play. My aunt calmed down right away and started singing. I was sorry to to have to move my aunt out of her home because it meant losing Mia. If my mother needed care, I certainly would hire Mia.

Mia gave so much of herself to my mother for more than two years, and her care, dedication, loyalty, and knowledge allowed me, my sister, and our families to carry on with our lives and be able to sleep peacefully at night knowing our mother was in such good hands. Mia lived with my mom from early 2019 until mom's death in July 2021. My mother was 100 when she died, and until the last three months, was in pretty good shape. When Mia started with us, she didn't speak any English. Mom was mentally sharp and she gave Mia reading lessons. They watched movies together and practiced English all the time. Mia was so hungry to learn and so smart that she became fluent very quickly. My sister and I did the food shopping and Mia and mom cooked together. My mother taught Mia some recipes and Mia introduced some Georgian foods to our family. In the spring of 2021, mom was diagnosed with cancer. She came home from the hospital with a bed sore and was unable to walk. Mia rose to the occasion, giving mom bed baths and tending to the wound. She was always so kind and she made mom's last months as good as could be. She was an angel to us and she will always have a place in our family. Anyone who hires Mia will be thrilled.
