About Me
My real name is Akosua, but you may call me by my nickname, Beatrice. Back in Ghana, we take care of our parents and grandparents and that made me develop a love for caregiving. I treat the elderly as my own family when I get to take care of them. I have been a caregiver since 2008. I love to read and to go to the movies, and also to take out my clients. I also like to take a stroll in the park, especially if my clients want to go. I take my job seriously, and I do whatever my client needs and whatever suits my client best. I am proud of the work I do. I don't lose my temper easily; I am very patient. No matter what, I want my clients to be happy. I am trustworthy and reliable. I stand out because I have a great deal of experience with caregiving.
Recommendations
Beatrice is an extraordinary person who lived with my mother and me from August 2017 to April 2018, when my mother died. Mom had memory issues and a serious movement disorder, so she needed full-time care. Beatrice was with mom all day long and did everything for her, from getting her out of bed in the morning to tucking her in at night. She gave medication reminders, assisted with physical therapy exercises, and accompanied mom to appointments. My mother always loved looking good, and Beatrice made sure she was dressed nicely. They went on an outing almost every day and they had a really good relationship. It wasn't just Beatrice caring for mom; they were companions and that meant a great deal to my mother and to me. Beatrice was responsible, and it was easy to give her directions. She is smart and resourceful. I remember that I was supposed to pick up something at the pharmacy. It kept falling to the bottom of my list and one day Beatrice woke up early, got an Uber, went to the pharmacy, and got what we needed. She was great with cooking and cleaning and she has a way to make people feel loved. Beatrice is an easy person to be around. We were so sad when mom died that we had to let Beatrice go. Over the course of my mother's illness, we hired and fired many caregivers. Beatrice kept mom safe. She never had any bruises or falls and she was miles ahead of every other caregiver we used. I can't recommend her more highly.

Beatrice was a 24/7 caregiver for my mother in 2010-2011. Mom had mobility issues and used a walker, and then a wheelchair. Beatrice helped her with her activities of daily living. She helped her shower and dress, fixed her hair, and cooked her meals. She found ways to care for mom without making her feel smothered, and she was always very professional. My mother liked Beatrice a lot. She is honest and a good person. I appreciated that Beatrice was able to adapt as my mother's condition deteriorated and I am happy to recommend her as a caregiver.
