About Me

When I arrived in the United States, I was working as a housekeeper for a client who had lung cancer. I decided to take care of her aside from my housekeeping job. She was very grateful for the help I gave her and before she passed, she told me I was destined to help others and provide comfort to people who need it. I decided to get my certificate as a patient care associate. The clients I have had were wonderful. My mother died when I was young so I did not get the chance to take care of her in her old age. I use this as an opportunity to care for my clients like I would have cared for my own mother. I am very patient and alert as a caregiver and I am very kind and warmhearted. I respect the privacy and beliefs of all my clients. Some of my hobbies include reading and gardening. I also love to take walks, especially near the beach, and to listen to music.

Recommendations

Maria took care of my mother for the overnight shift. She would help with bathing, changing, and feeding. She kept my mom so clean and she never had a sore in her care. Maria would talk and listen with my mom for hours. She would also bring her her favorite peanuts and play her favorite game with her -- Trouble. She not only was the most wonderful companion but the most amazing woman. Maria generates warmth and kindness. She would go above and beyond her duties. There was not a minute that I would worry when she was with my mom. She would go to the hospital to be with my mom even when she wasn't working. Almost a year after her death, we're still in contact because she knows this is a very difficult time for me. Any family would be blessed to have someone like Maria. We would have been at a loss if we didn't have Maria. I give her the highest recommendation!

I have known Maria for about 30 years on both a social and professional basis. Maria cared for my mother for about a year in 2009, before my mother moved out of state. My mother fell and fractured her femur, and Maria was the main caregiver. She took care of cleaning, cooking, bathing, exercising, and more. On a professional level, I find Maria to be competent, honorable, and diligent, a rare combination. As a friend, I sometimes feel she is indispensable, yet always available. Maria is a very compassionate and concerned person, even when her duty period was over for our family.
