About Me

I love to care for people, especially those who cannot take care of themselves. I like to motivate them, promote good health, and help them with their daily activities. I became a caregiver in 2015. As a caregiver, I love teamwork, and I love to engage in conversation with my client. I keep my surroundings clean as well as the surroundings of my client. I am very loving and kind-hearted. I am generous and easy going, and I am very patient, which is the most important factor for this job. I make sure my clients take their medications on time and I communicate their care plans with them. I also make sure I note any changes that may occur with my clients. For fun, I love to read novels and also listen to music.

I have been Yetunde's direct supervisor for more than 18 months, since June 2017. Yetunde works as a direct care professional for a group home where six developmentally disabled adults live. She is a very hard worker. Yetunde is a team player and always arrives early to her shifts. She works well with others and always gives 100 percent. She knows how to calm our clients and she does it with care. She is very confident in her role and I have never had a problem with her.

I lost the use of my hand and leg, and although I went to rehab and got some usage back, I'm not quite able to manage by myself and I still need help around the house. Yetunde started working with me in 2016, and more than two years later, still comes Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. She helps me shower and dress, makes breakfast and lunch for me, and does my laundry and light housekeeping. When the weather is good, we go for a walk. Yetunde is the best thing that has happened to me in a long while. She is very respectful and I appreciate that. She's a good worker, reliable, and shows up on time. At first I was cautious because she was a stranger in my home, but I have found her to be very trustworthy and a real sweetheart. She does anything I ask. I don't remember telling her about my birth date, but somehow she found out, and she was the first one to acknowledge it and help me celebrate. I recommend her highly.

I have known Yetunde since 2013. I was her manager when she worked as a direct support professional. She is a very hardworking individual and you can trust her. Yetunde was always reliable and never called out of work. I have no doubt that she will carry out her duties diligently. She is a good worker.
