About Me

In Kenya, I used to work with the elderly as part of my after school extra-curricular activities. I have always enjoyed helping people. It's very important to be there for people in need. I make sure my client is happy, and we make decisions together. I'm passionate, cool, calm, and collected about my work. My clients like my punctuality and they trust me because I'm a very honest guy. A fun fact about me is that I've ran the New York marathon twice, so I love running. I also love watching and playing soccer. I enjoy watching American football, especially the New York Jets.

Recommendations

My father fell and and broke his hip in August 2018. We hired David to live with my father for about 2 months during his recovery. David is a great guy and my father really liked having his help. He would drive my dad around, cook for him, dress him, and help with bathing and hygiene. David took the job seriously and you can tell he's dedicated to his work. I would definitely use him again if we needed help and I recommend him to others.

David was a 24/7 caregiver for my father-in-law from about 2012 until a few months before his death in October 2014. My in-laws lived in an independent living facility. My mother-in-law had COPD and her own health issues. Though she was pretty much able to care for herself, she could not care for her aging husband. My father-in-law had congestive heart failure and was not brushing his teeth or showering, so we insisted on hiring a caregiver. David was wonderful. He was helpful to both of my in-laws, even though that was not in his job description, and in fact, we didn't realize how much he had been doing for my mother-in-law until after she died. David prepared breakfast (and lunch or dinner when they didn't want to go to the dining room), and helped with all of dad's personal care. I watched as he respectfully waited a good distance away while my father-in-law had meals with his friends in the dining room. My father-in-law's personality became more and more difficult as his independence decreased but David was pleasant and easygoing through it all. He was willing to do whatever we asked of him, and, as previously mentioned, went above and beyond those requests. His patience was impressive during some very trying times. My mother-in-law trusted David completely, as did all of our family members. I visited weekly and I always felt like David was doing the right thing. It was not hard to make the decision to move my father-in-law to a nursing home, but it was very difficult to say goodbye to David.
