About Me

I've been working as a caregiver since 2003 and I'm very compassionate. I believe it's a calling for me to help elderly people to have a nice life. I'm not perfect but I do try my best. I love to help people, and I love working for elderly people. I treat my clients like a family member, and since we see each other every day, we become like family. In Africa, we take care of our family members in our home, so this type of work is like second nature to me. I put my heart into my work, and I love meeting new people. I feel that it's a true blessing to be a caregiver. In my spare time, I enjoy reading.

Sarah took care of my mother for 2 weeks when I went away on vacation in August 2018. I had never left my mother alone and I am my mother's primary caretaker, so I was very concerned leaving her with another person for the first time. Sarah was the perfect person for the job. I would call and check in on my mother every day to see how things were going. My mother couldn't stop raving about Sarah and saying how wonderful she was and that Sarah was just as good as I was. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that Sarah was with my mother. My mother uses a walker and is unsteady on her feet, so Sarah had to help her with getting in and out of the shower. My mother is still able to shower herself. Sarah also prepared meals for my mother, but my mother is able to feed herself. She just took care of everything that I would be doing normally for my mother. Sarah kept my mother's spirits high during that time, and I would not hesitate to use her again if needed. I recommend her highly.

My dad lived at a senior independent living facility, but he needed extra assistance, so Sarah lived with him 24/7 at the facility from October 2016 until his death in July 2018. She is a sweet as can be. She cared about dad, and she cared about our family. She communicated with my brother and me and kept us up to date on how he was doing. She reminded him to take his medications and encouraged him to participate in activities. The last 10 days of my father's life were spent in the hospital, and Sarah would not leave his side. We had to insist that she go home to sleep. She made sure he was taken care of properly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her at all.
