About Me

I wanted to be a doctor when I was a little girl because I like helping others. I decided to get into health care so I could take care of my father in his older age. I received my license and certification and have been working ever since. For me, I like to develop relationships with people. I like to get to know people and I like to be the person they can lean on. Some clients might not see their family every day, and they look to you for help and assistance, so I really like that part about caregiving. I'm fun to be around. I'm very respectful, compassionate, loving, caring, open-minded, and patient. In my spare time, I like to go to the movies, go for walks, or read.

Recommendations

Marie came to care for my grandmother for the last four months of her life, when she was on hospice. She was very caring and my grandmother loved her and so did we. My grandmother was bedbound and I noticed how gentle, but thorough Marie was when bathing her. She helped her on the commode and also did light housework. We trusted Marie completely and had no problem leaving her in the house alone. Grandma died in November 2018 and, based on my experience with Marie, I have no hesitation in recommending her as a caregiver.

Marie was a caregiver for my mother for a few months because of our financial considerations, but I was very happy with the work she did. My mother is very overweight and started having memory issues. Marie helped my mother with bathing and dressing and personal care, and she also did some cooking. Mom used both a walker and a wheelchair at that time and Marie was very good at helping her transfer as needed. My mother was very comfortable having Marie around. Marie worked as a live-in caregiver for about 6 weeks in 2017, and then switched to live out work for another 6 weeks. At that point, my sister came to live with mom and we had to let Marie go.
