About Me

Before I came to the United States, I lived with my grandmother in Ghana. I liked living with her and I would help her out with whatever she needed. In Africa, we live with our elderly family members and I took care of her needs because we don't have facilities for that. I started working as a caregiver when I moved to the United States. I really like to help people in need. I like to be there for people if a family member is not able to do it. I love to hear their stories and hear about their experiences. I'm very passionate and loving, and my clients like my smile and happy face. I like listening closely to my clients' concerns and making sure I am pleasing them. I'm also very hardworking. I like to anticipate people's needs and provide care to the best of my knowledge. I like to crochet with my clients and I love doing puzzles. I also like to read.

Recommendations

Philomena took care of my mother from 2010-2015. She worked hourly Monday-Friday for approximately six hours a day. I am a nurse and felt very comfortable leaving Philomena alone with my mother. She is very reliable, credible, and always punctual. She handled all of my mother's needs such as bathing, cooking, and feeding. I would highly recommend Philomena to another family.

Philomena took care of my mom from 2015-2018. My mother was in her 90s and had Alzheimer's. Philomena did everything for my mother. She took care of her activities of daily living, which included feeding and bathing her. She would help her with walking and making sure she was safe. She cared for my mom a lot and had a lot more patience than the family did with my mother. My mom liked her because of her Christian background and they would talk about the bible together. Philomena is very understanding and very caring. I recommend her highly.
